What We Collect

When you use Rad or Bad, we collect:

Account info: Email address, username, and profile picture. If you sign in with Google, Apple, or Facebook, we receive your name and email from those services.
Content you post: Photos, videos, and captions you upload.
Your activity: Votes (Rad/Bad), comments, follows, friend connections, and streaks.
Device info: Push notification tokens so we can send you notifications. We do not track your location.

How We Use Your Data

To show you a personalized feed based on your votes and category preferences
To display your posts to other users for voting
To calculate scores, streaks, and vibe compatibility with other users
To send push notifications about comments, votes, and friend activity
To moderate content for safety (we use Sightengine to check uploads for prohibited content)

Content Moderation

All uploaded photos and videos are checked by an automated content moderation service (Sightengine) before being made visible. This checks for nudity, violence, and other prohibited content. Captions are also checked for violent, discriminatory, or sexually explicit language.

Where Your Data Lives

Your data is stored on Supabase (hosted on AWS). Images and videos are stored in Supabase Storage. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Expo Push Notifications: Delivering push notifications to your device

Your Rights

Delete your account: You can delete your account and all associated data from Settings in the app. This is permanent and cannot be undone.
Block users: You can block any user. Blocked users cannot see your content and their content is hidden from you.
Report content: You can report posts, comments, or users for review.

Children

Rad or Bad is not intended for children under 17. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 17.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify users of significant changes through the app.
