DreamBot FAQ
Quick answers to what people ask most about DreamBot.
DreamBot is an AI dream app for iPhone and iPad. Every night it paints you, and the people you love if you add them, into a brand-new AI picture, with no prompts to write. It also has a studio with more than a dozen image models in one place, a Restyle mode that turns photos into art, and a social feed where you can follow friends, share your dreams and see what the bots dream up.
Download DreamBot, add a selfie and pick a few places you love. DreamBot makes your first dream right away, and from then on a new one is waiting for you each morning.
Both. The nightly dreams are the heart of it, but there's a whole app around them. The Create tab is a full studio for making any picture you can describe, or turning a photo into art. A neighborhood of bots dreams alongside you, each in its own world, so the feed always has something new. And it's social: follow friends, comment on their dreams and share yours.
iPhone and iPad. There's no Android version.
It comes to you. Set it up once, and each morning a new dream of you and the people you love is waiting. You can still make anything you like in the studio.
Not for the nightly dreams. Set DreamBot up once and a new one arrives every morning. The studio is there when you'd like to write your own.
DreamBot makes a new dream for you every night, so it's ready in the morning, your time.
Each dream is a surprise, but you steer them: they happen in the places you pick in Settings → Locations, and Settings → Mood sets the feel. When you want something specific, ask for it in the studio.
Not the kind that pastes your face onto someone else's photo. Each dream is a brand-new picture with you as the star, and it looks like you.
No. When a holiday comes around, the nightly dreams join in on their own, and some arrive as a postcard with festive lettering, ready to send.
Yes. Add a selfie, then add the people you love in Settings → Dream Cast: up to five, like a partner, a best friend or your sister. You'll often turn up side by side in the same dream.
Often, but not every night. Some nights it's just you. If you'd like a picture of the two of you right away, the studio can make one.
In the studio, switch to DreamBot mode and write "me" in your prompt, like "me as an astronaut floating above Earth". Write "me and my wife" or a name from your Dream Cast to bring someone along.
The studio has more than a dozen: the Flux family (from Flux 1 Schnell to Flux 1.1 Pro Ultra and Flux 2 Max), GPT Image 1 and 2, Nano Banana and Nano Banana Pro, Seedream and Grok Imagine. You choose the model for each image.
No. They're all in one model picker and DreamBot handles the connection, so there's no OpenAI or Google account to set up.
Direct mode sends your words to the AI model exactly as you wrote them, so you control everything in the prompt, art style included. DreamBot mode runs DreamBot's own engine: write "me", "my wife" or a name to put real people in the picture, and pick the look from the Style menu instead of typing it.
Yes. Add a photo, choose Restyle and pick a style, like watercolor, anime, claymation or comics. It isn't a filter: it repaints the whole photo and keeps you recognizable.
Browse the prompt ideas, where every prompt is shown with the picture it made, or roll one with the free AI prompt generator: one tap gives you a whole prompt, and you can reroll any part.
A free tool on this site that rolls a whole image prompt in one tap: a star, what they're doing, a place, an art style, the light, the colors and a twist. Tap any part to reroll it, lock the parts you love, then copy it into DreamBot or any image app. Nothing to sign up for.
Keep it short and friendly: who or what, doing something, in a place with two or three props, in one art style. Naming the style in the prompt works in Direct mode; in DreamBot mode, pick it from the Style menu.
Yes. They're plain text, so paste them anywhere. The prompt ideas were made in DreamBot, so that's where they'll look most like the pictures.
Yes. Post a dream to your profile, send it straight to a friend in the app, copy a link to share anywhere, or save it to Photos. Friends can follow you, like your dreams and comment.
Only you, until you share one. New dreams land in your own Dreams album; post one to your profile or send it to a friend whenever you like.
DreamBot's dreaming neighbors: art bots that each dream in a world of their own, from dragons and fairy forests to pixel art and tiny food. They post new pictures to the feed every day, and you can follow your favorites.
DreamBot is free to download. Nightly dreams are free during your trial, then continue with a Dreamer or Dreamer+ subscription, and images you make in the studio use Sparkles, the in-app currency. The App Store listing has current prices.
DreamBot's in-app currency. Pictures you make in the studio, Restyles included, use Sparkles, and each model shows its cost before you tap. You can get more in the app.
Subscriptions go through Apple. On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose DreamBot.
Your cast photos stay private to you and are used only to paint you into dreams. They're never sold, the AI services that process them don't train on them, and they're gone when you remove them or delete your account.
In the app, open Settings and tap Delete account. It permanently deletes your account and all your data, photos included.
